February 14, 2021 - FCPW Presents: Love and War!

A highlight video rolls of the first two rounds of the title tournament: Jace Mason dropping Gally with the Extra Credit, Chucky flattening Freddy Collins with the Wheel, John Cavanagh decimating Petey Walker with a top rope Hell’s Kitchen Drop, then absolute destruction of Kevin Watkins at the hands of Mr. Tees. The tempo of the background music picks up a little, switching to shots of the second round matches, Mason nailing the Disaster Kick and Extra Credit on Trigger, Chucky getting the upset over Kincaid, Mr. Tees nailing the Tees Driver on Buck Henry before pinning him with the Ball Claw, Cavanagh catching a Dweck knee strike and turning it into the Hell’s Kitchen Drop. The shot cuts to all four men walking through the curtains to the back after their second round matches, some still relatively fresh, others more worn down and beaten up, before finishing on a still shot of the Canadian Championship belt against a black background.



We cut back to ringside to a shot of that same belt, this time on a pedestal before zooming out, showing Lou Natic and Mac Dunney standing on either side of the podium, next to the announce table.

Tony: “It’s time to find out who’s going to be the inaugural Canadian champion. You excited Lonnie?”

Lonnie: “I haven’t felt tingles like this since Fiona Harris cut that promo with her B cups out Tony!”

Tony: “Jesus Christ, just… anyway. Let’s send it over to Amanda Jackson!”

Amanda: “The following is a Fatal Fourway matchup, scheduled for one fall! The first man to score a pinfall or submission in the ring on one of his opponents will win the First Class Pro Canadian Championship! Making his way to the ring first, from Parry Sound, Ontario, Nathan ‘Chucky’ Galchenyuk!”

"Get Ready for This" by 2Unlimited hits and Chucky makes his way out to the ring as the music plays, pumping his fist to fire himself and the crowd up before sliding into the ring, hitting the ropes a couple times before coming to a stop in his corner.

Amanda: “Next, from Trenton, New Jersy, Mr. Tees!”

The sound of breaking and shattering glass hits followed by “Die Mother Fucker Die” by Dope and the crowd instantly erupts in a chorus of boos as “The Anarchist” himself Mr. Tees makes his way out to the stage. Tees nearly gets into it with several male fans almost coming to blows with some of them getting into yelling, cursing and shoving matches with a few of the rowdier fans before walking down the aisle toward the ringside area. His reaction to female fans is quite different as they seem to love and adore him and he poses for photos with some, slaps hands with others as he enters the ring by stepping over the top rope effortlessly.

Amanda: “From Hell’s Kitchen, New York, ‘The One Man Dynasty’ John Cavanagh!”

A guitar chord is heard following by a voice "Behold the Kings. The King of Kings." Lights begin to flicker with the music "on your knees, dog". At the 0:13 mark, out from the darkness of the tunnel emerges the “One Man Dynasty” John Cavanagh in a hooded black robe with green trim, he heads down towards the ring accompanied by his valet Shannon Riley who is wearing a tight fitting and revealing dress. The two walk to the ring arm and arm they ignore the fans and Cavanagh trash talks to the camera. They reach the ring and Cavanagh walks up the steps, outstretches his hand for his valet who carefully walks up the steel steps. Cavanagh grabs the middle rope and raises it while simultaneously pushing the bottom rope down with the foot allowing Shannon to easily enter without revealing anything much to the chagrin of the men in the front row. Cavanagh steps in to the ring and outstretches his arms as Shannon grabs him from the side. Shannon takes his robe off as Cavanagh helps her out of the ring. Cavanagh turns his view to the inside of the ring as he prepares for the match.

Amanda: “And from Seattle, Washington, ‘The Eternal Student’ Jace Mason!”

As the intro to 'Afterlife' ends, Jace steps through the curtain, planting one foot forward and pumping his fist. He pauses to look out into the crowd and nods as he takes in their reception, then starts walking down the ramp, interacting with the front row as he makes his way to the ring. Upon arriving at the base of the ramp, Jace climbs onto the ring apron and then up on the turnbuckles. He poses with one foot on the middle and one foot on the top turnbuckles and his right fist raised in the air before jumping down to the ring and turning to face towards the center.

Tony: “What a mix of talent in this match. Two long time veterans in Tees and Cavanagh and two relative youngsters in Mason and Chucky. Tees definitely looks the freshest of the four, wouldn’t you agree Lonnie?”

Lonnie: “Absolutely. The other three had some pretty tough challenges earlier tonight while Tees… I mean, the hardest part of his match was hitting that jumping piledriver on Buck Henry. Don’t get me wrong, that was really impressive but not exactly on par with what the other three went through.”

Tony: “Does that make Tees your pick tonight?”

Lonnie: “Sure, right up until I change my mind.”

Tony: “I bet you’ve got a great view from that fence you keep sitting on. The bell rings and here we go!”

Canadian Championship Tournament Finals - “The One Man Dynasty” John Cavanagh vs “The Eternal Student” Jace Mason vs Mr. Tees vs Nathan “Chucky” Galchenyuk

The match starts with all four men coming out of their corners slowly, watching their opponents, Cavanagh jawing at Mason and Chucky both while Tees looms ominously. Finally Chucky charges Cavanagh, only to get blindsided with a big boot from Tees. As Tees puts the boots to Chucky, the younger man rolling towards the ropes to try and avoid the stomps, Cavanagh and Mason lock up in the middle of the ring, Cavanagh grabbing a headlock that’s quickly countered by Mason, leading to an exchange of holds and counterholds as Tees kicks Chucky out under the bottom rope. Mason takes down Cavanagh with an armbar but as both men are down on the mat Tees comes over and kicks Mason in the ribs, breaking the hold.

Tony: “Mason was looking for a wrestling match but it looks like Tees just wants to fight tonight.”

Lonnie: “When you’re six inches and at least forty pounds bigger than everyone else in the match, it’s a solid strategy.”

Cavanagh rolls to the corner, watching as Tees tees off on Mason with a series of right hands before whipping him into the ropes, looking for another big boot but Mason ducks that, leaping to the middle rope on the run and rebounding back, looking for his Disaster Kick but Tees sidesteps it, Mason rolling through on the mat before coming back to his feet. Cavanagh charges Mason but Jace drops down before catching Cavanagh with a standing dropkick that sends Cavanagh rolling to the outside. Tees moves to catch Mason from behind but it’s his turn to be blindsided by Chucky who dropkicks him in the back, sending Tees stumbling forward into the ropes opposite of where Cavanagh went out; Tees catches the ropes, using them to stay on his feet but turns around in time to eat a double clothesline from Mason and Chucky, sending him over the top and to the floor.

Lonnie: “Someone tell those young’uns that the battle royal was last match!”

Tony: “Mason and Chucky alone in the ring now and the two circle, a little nod of respect from Mason, returned by Chucky before the two start throwing punches!”

Lonnie: “It’s a hockey fight in Maple Leaf Gardens!”

Mason gets the better of the exchange of fists before catching Chucky with a spin kick to the gut, following that with a leg kick to put Chucky on his knees and a low dropkick to the head.

Tony: “Cover by Mason but Chucky gets the shoulder up at two!”

Lonnie: “Not enough to take the fight out of Chucky yet but you can’t blame Mason for looking for a cover while Cavanagh and Tees are outside the ring.”

Tony: “Mason is keeping the pressure on Chucky after the kickout, hooking him up for a big single underhook suplex and tossing him across the ring. Tees and Cavanagh are both sitting up on the outside, looks like they’re just bidding their time to get back into this thing.”

Lonnie: “Smart veteran strategy from both; let the other two beat each other down a little, stay fresh and ready in case you need to break up a pin attempt.”

Chucky rolls to a corner, getting to his feet as Mason follows, Jace catching a punch in the ribs for his troubles before Chucky turns him around, pushing Mason’s back against the turnbuckles and unleashing a series of right hands on him before picking Mason up, setting him on the top turnbuckle. Chucky climbs up but Mason hits him with a punch of his own, the two men trading short shots as both adjust their positions, soon both standing on the top. Jace hooks Chucky up as if for the Extra Credit but Chucky elbows out; Chucky grabs Mason as if for a suplex but Jace lands a couple bodyshots to break that up when Tees slides into the ring, charging the corner and knocking both off the top!

Tony: “Holy shit!”

Lonnie: “Wait, we can swear?”

Tony: “Why not, everyone else here does.”

Lonnie: “Holy shit! Chucky and Mason are down and they might be DONE. Chucky fell into the guardrail and that might’ve actually saved him a little, but Mason just landed flat on his back on the floor!”

Ringside officials including Mac Dunney go to check on Mason and Chucky, meanwhile we’re back to two men in the ring as Cavanagh slides in to go after Tees. Cavanagh grabs Tees from behind for a German suplex but Tees counters, elbowing Cav in the head before turning and grabbing him with both hands around his neck. Before Tees can lift Cav for the chokebomb, Cav stomps on one of Tees feet, enough for Tees to break his grip for a second, allowing Cavanagh to pick him up onto his shoulders before dropping Tees with a death valley driver! Cavanagh quickly makes the cover but Tees gets the shoulder up at two.

Tony: “Cavanagh with the same mindset Mason had moments ago, make every cover you can while there’s just two in the ring.”

Lonnie: “Yeah, but the difference here is Tees made sure the other two aren’t gonna be breaking anything up anytime soon.”

Cavanagh mounts Tees, laying in a series of punches before Tees counters with a thumb to the eye, sending a cursing Cav reeling back from him. Tees gets to his feet and grabs Cavanagh by the throat again, this time connecting with the chokebomb! He covers but Cavanagh manages to kick out at two.

Tony: “Tees stepping back and ugh, either he’s got a real bad case of jock itch or he’s thinking Ball Claw!”

Lonnie: “Shannon Riley is frantic at ringside, I think she’s calling for help!”

A moment later, as Cavanagh tries to shake off the chokebomb and Tees measures him for the claw, Andy Donahue and Trigger come through the curtain, storming down to ringside. Tees spots them and he turns to face the oncoming threat.

Tony: “What the hell are these two doing? This is a title match, have some respect, some decency!”

Lonnie: “Hey, it’s a no DQ match, you really expect John Cavanagh didn’t plan to take advantage of that?!”

Tony: “Looks like Tees might’ve had the same ideas Lonnie!”

Sure enough, Sebastian Caine comes sprinting down the aisle after Trigger and Donahue, nailing Trigger with a shot from behind as Donahue slides into the ring, going toe to toe with Tees before Cavanagh drops Tees with a wicked low blow from behind. Tees goes down with Donahue putting stomps into him. Chucky has finally made it back to his feet on the outside and slides into the ring, looking to clear Donahue but Andy nails him with a spinebuster. Cavanagh rolls over into a cover but Chucky manages to get the shoulder up at two.

Caine and Trigger are still brawling at ringside and end up toppling over the barricade and into the (appropriately socially distanced) crowd, starting to fight their way to the back. In the ring Cavanagh and Donahue size up Tees and Chucky, both still trying to get to their feet when the crowd roars as Rick Gallagher comes charging down the aisle, grabbing Donahue by the feet and pulling him out to the floor!

Lonnie: “Barnburners versus Celtic Club, no matter what happens I think these two groups will always be looking to destroy each other!”

Tony: “Regardless of the circumstances, we’re back to just the three original competitors in the ring now! Cavanagh grabs Tees, pulling the big man to his feet; Tees is still visibly hurting after that low blow.”

Lonnie: “If Cavanagh had hit Tees any harder I think Tees might’ve coughed up a ball.”

Tony: “Jesus Lonnie… Tees throws a punch but there’s not a ton behind it, Cavanagh blocking and there’s the Irish Necktie! Cavanagh is going to try and choke Tees out!”

Lonnie: “Tees needs to get out of this fast, otherwise he’s gonna be done!”

Tony: “Tees tries to reach for the ropes but Cavanagh has him too close to the middle of the ring, now he’s trying to break the grip but Cavanagh has it cinched in tight!”

Suddenly, and desperately, Tees returns the favour on Cavanagh from earlier in the match and stomps hard on his foot, then again as Cavanagh loses his grip on the hold. Tees looks up and his eyes widen before he pushes Cavanagh in front of him and steps to the side.

Tony: “Chucky from the top! Wheel! Nathan Galchenyuk just hit the Wheel and Cavanagh is down!”

Chucky stumbles back to his feet but catches a quick kick in the stomach from Tees, who then tucks Chucky’s head between his thighs.

Tony: “Tees Driver! Tees pulls Chucky back up and a SECOND Tees Driver! Chucky is out cold!”

Lonnie: “One! Two! Th- Where the hell did Mason come from?!”

The crowd roars as Jace Mason dives into the ring, breaking up the pin a millisecond before the referee’s hand hits the mat for three! Mason staggers to his feet, clearly badly hurt but back in the fight and Tees gets to his feet, just staring at Mason before charging with a clothesline. Mason ducks on the run, hitting the ropes as Tees rebounds off opposite him, Tees bouncing right back into a massive Mason’s Hammer! Tees falls backwards into the ropes, bouncing him back up to his feet and Mason connects with a second Mason’s Hammer!

Tony: “Tees is down! Chucky is down! Cavanagh is down! Jace Mason makes the cover on Tees and- no!”

Lonnie: “Shannon Riley just put Tees’ foot on the ropes and saved this match for her man Cavanagh!”

Mason shakes his head in disbelief as the referee tells him that the pin doesn’t count and Tees rolls out to the floor. Mason stands, turning to yell in frustration at Riley. Riley, meanwhile, has run around the ring to check on Cav before starting to climb onto the ring apron before the crowd roars again.

Tony: “Fiona Harris from nowhere! She just flattened Shannon Riley with a running forearm!”

Lonnie: “You think she did that because she likes Mason or because she hates Riley?”

Tony: “We’ll worry about motives later, someone’s gonna win the title here!”

Fiona and Riley brawl, Fiona driving Riley towards the back as Mason turns back to the two men still in the ring with him. Cavanagh has started to stir, holding his right hand towards his stomach as he gets to his knees.

Tony: “Did Cavanagh hurt his hand? He seems to be protecting it.”

Lonnie: “I didn’t see anything like that, but maybe he landed on it when Chucky hit the Wheel?”

Mason pulls Cavanagh to his feet and hooks up the Extra Credit, tossing Cavanagh’s right arm over his shoulder and the camera catches a glint of light on metal on Cavanagh’s hand.

Tony: “The hand’s not hurt! Shannon Riley slipped Cavanagh brass knuckles!”

Lonnie: “And Mason didn’t see them! Oh, that’s a brilliant move by Celtic Club!”

Mason tries to pop Cavanagh up to hit the Extra Credit but Cavanagh nails him with an elbow, then another and another and Mason stumbles back. Cavanagh looks for a big right cross but Mason backs away, letting his momentum put him back into the ropes, rebounding off and looking for Mason’s Hammer but Cavanagh sidesteps and nails a big overhand right, catching Mason square in the temple with the brass knuckles, and Mason crumbles out of the ring. Cavanagh stumbles over to the still out cold Chucky and falls into a cover.

Tony: “One, two, three. John Cavanagh is the first ever First Class Pro Canadian Champion!”

Lonnie: “Tees tried to get back in to break up the pin but he was still on spaghetti legs after that pair of Mason’s Hammers, he couldn’t get into the ring in time.”

Amanda Jackson: Your winner via pinfall and new Canadian Champion, ‘The One Man Dynasty’ John Cavanagh!”

Tony: “Cavanagh’s celebrating without the rest of his crew with the way the fighting went down tonight, but he’s got the gold and that’s all he cares about.”

Lonnie: “You really can’t take anything away from the other three men here. Tees went in with a tremendous gameplan and probably had this won if it hadn’t been for the numbers.”

Tony: “And the absolute toughness of Jace Mason to even get back up from that huge fall off the top to the floor, let alone to come so close to winning the title, I don’t think I’ll ever forget about that.”

Mac Dunney enters the ring with the championship belt, presenting it to Cavanagh who snatches it from the president, stumbling back into the ropes as he raises his belt.

Tony: “From everyone here at FCPW, thank you for watching and we’ll see you in two weeks for Sunday Night Delight!”
