Characters:
1) Original characters only.
2) At this point there are no limits on how many characters you can have on the board; once the roster is more rounded out a cap will be implemented.
3) No two characters may use the same poser (unless you’re playing twins/triplets/you get the idea), use the same music (unless they’re in the same team/stable) or use the same finisher (unless they’re in the same team/stable or it is cleared by the other wrestler(s) using said finisher). A separate thread will have a list of posers, entrance themes and finishers in use.
Roleplays:
1) There are always, unless otherwise noted, a max of three RP’s per wrestler/team per match. So if a tag match has a team with two characters by two separate handlers they would need to split the three RP slots between them (or collaborate on their RP’s). Please give at least 24 hours between your posts.
2) There is no min or max word count for your RP’s. Keep in mind that quality is far more important than quantity in regards to determining who wins a match; 500 great words will beat 2000 good ones.
3) Our RP’s and shows are adult-oriented; think something like an NC-17 rating. Violence, gore, sexuality and cursing of course are all welcome. For gore and violence, horror movie-level stuff is totally fine, Faces of Death-type stuff is probably a bit too far. For sexuality, think more Cinemax after Dark and less, y’know, hardcore. With all of that said, racism, bigotry in general and sexual violence are not acceptable. Even if your character is a totally despicable heel, there are plenty of other ways to get heat on them.
4) Characters should be more or less realistic; I know there are plenty of unrealistic characters in wrestling history (Undertaker anyone?) but please don’t go off the deep end. A character with occult elements is absolutely cool, a character who can literally summon demons not so much. A character who thinks there’s something magical/otherworldly about them is fine, but a character who actually is magic, not so much.
5) Please keep formatting relatively easy to read? Massive changes in font sizes and stuff like that is just tough and we’re hopefully going to have a whole bunch of roleplays to read for each show. Make it a little easier for everyone!
6) Shows will be on Sundays (unless otherwise noted), all roleplays are due by midnight the Friday before the show (again, unless otherwise noted). The goal will be to have all shows posted before midnight Sunday night, but please don’t freak out if it takes an extra day. Sometimes things get crazy!
7) Please do not use another writer’s characters in your RP unless they have given you permission to do so.
Wins & Losses:
1) Generally wins and losses are determined based on the roleplays posted for each match. Any exceptions to this will be based on storylines developed with the input of the people involved in the match, so you’ll already know what’s going on in that case.
2) Wins and losses are decided by the Booking Committee (more info on this further down). No one in the Booking Committee can vote on matches their characters are involved in for the sake of keeping this as impartial as possible.
3) Roleplays will be judged based on creativity, relevance to what’s happening in the fed and happening with the characters involved and their opponents, and character growth.
4) Please don’t get upset if you lose a match! We won’t write things to bury you and will always try to give you something to build on character-wise as long as you're posting roleplays!
5) No-showing your match will probably cause you to get squashed, unless you’ve reached out to let us know you won’t be able to post an RP for whatever reason. Life happens, we all have other things going on, it sucks but it can happen and we’ll try to be understanding.
The Booking Committee:
1) The Booking Committee is made up of writers from the fed who assist with the running of the fed; writing matches would be the main way to join the committee but if you have something else you can do to assist it can be discussed on a case-by-case basis.
2) After the deadline has been reached (or if all possible roleplays for a match are submitted before the deadline) each member of the committee will vote for who they feel won and lost, or will vote for a draw if they feel it was a tie. The character with the most votes wins. In the event of a tie, the match will go to a draw.
3) It’s been stated already but it’s worth stating again, no member of the committee will vote on matches involving any of their characters.
4) If you would like to submit a segment to the show or write a match, whether you wish to be a member of the committee or not, please reach out!
Match Rules:
1) Regular matches have a time limit of 30 minutes; main events and title matches are 60 minutes. Any exceptions to this will be noted when the match is booked.
2) Standard pro wrestling rules apply (ten counts outside the ring, disqualifications for using weapons, all the stuff we're familiar with as fans).
Other Stuff:
1) Multiple no-shows with no heads up will eventually lead to your character no longer being booked. If you can’t continue in the fed a heads up would be awesome so that we can send you off in style (and use it to get someone else a little more over)!
2) Mind the difference between IC and OOC. Being a bastard OOC will not be tolerated. We’re all adults here. You don’t have to get along with everyone, but if you don’t like somebody just… don’t interact with them. We’ll even make sure not to book you against each other if it gets that serious. Just don’t give us reason to have to think about disciplinary actions or anything, please? Thanks.
Please reach out if you have any questions, concerns, comments or if there’s something I didn’t think of!
